The Baltic, North Sea, English Channel, Bay of Biscay, Portugal, Madeira and the Canary Islands
The first part takes us across the Baltic. The Finnish south coast and archipelago, the historic islands of Gotland and Öland, the Danish islands of Christiansö and Bornholm, the Southern Swedish coast and the traffic in the passage between Denmark and Germany up to Kiel.
The second leg takes us from Kiel through the Kiel canal to the North Sea. We pass the Frisian Islands down to the Netherlands, making a few stops on the way. From there we continue to Belgium and France, crossing the English Channel at Calais/Dover. Continuing westwards past Brighton, maybe up throug the Solent and out past Poole towards Cornwall and Plymouth,
The third leg starts with the crossing of the legendary Bay of Biscay. We expect the crossing to take around four to five days, and depending on the weather, we’ll either head for A Coruna or somewhere past Finisterre, e.g. Bayona. From there we’ll continue down Costa da Morte and eventually over to Portugal and the beautiful city of Porto.
The fourth leg is from Porto, down via Lisbon and west towards the island of Madeira. Having spent maybe a day on this beautiful island, we’ll continue towards Lanzarote, maybe take a turn south around Fuerteventura, before heading to Gran Canaria and Las Palmas.
You are invited to join us as crew members, either for the full trip or parts thereof, taking responsibility for watchkeeping and assisting with sailing the yacht.
